John Rossall's musical career has spanned four successful decades. The 1960's saw John acting as bandleader and musical director for various artists in the UK and Europe.

He Performed with the Mike Leander Showband and appeared on recordings as diverse as "It's Not Unusual" by Tom Jones, to, "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" by the Walker Brothers as well as many other International hits.

He formed the Boston International, a successful recording band in Germany. He performed all over Europe with the band during the 1960's and early 1970's.

In 1972, he received a phone call from Mike Leander, who had written a song called "Rock & Roll Part 2" which had entered the British charts. Mike asked John to form a band to perform the record, and back the front man, Gary Glitter on tour.

The band was named "The Glitter Band". John toured the world with his band during the 1970's and amassed millions of record sales. There were hysterical scenes wherever they appeared. Mike Leander played all the instruments on Gary Glitter's records, except the brass section, which was played by John and Harvey Ellison.

Harvey Ellison joined "The Bostons" in 1970 having previously worked with 'Root' and 'Jenny Jackson' and backing U.S. acts like 'Billy Stewart', 'The Impressions' and 'Charlie' and 'Inez Fox'.

More hits followed "Just For You", "Let's Get Together Again" both become top ten hits, the fourth record "Goodbye My Love" reached number 2 in the British charts.

At this point, John left the band, and signed to a major recording company. He released two solo records, "I Was Only Dreaming" and "It's No Use You Telling Me No", both records selling well in both the UK and Europe.
